Police arrests man who accused E-Money of having affair with Junior Pope’s widow

Police in Lagos has arrested one of the individuals who accused E-Money of having an affair with late Junior Pope’s widow and involved in the Nollywood actor’s murder.

Popular business mogul Emeka Okonkwo, known as E-Money, revealed on Thursday.

E-Money made the statement on his Instagram account, just a week after denying all rumours of sexual encounters with Junior Pope’s widow, Jennifer Awele.

Following the claims, E-money stated his determination to bring the social media content makers and bloggers who had accused him to justice, and he invited the public to join him in that effort.

He released a video of one of the captured suspects in handcuffs with the caption: “I’m relieved to report that one of the individuals involved in my character assassination has been prosecuted. This is a huge step towards eradicating cyberbullying.”

He expressed gratitude to the police for apprehending one of the two social media influencers and other bloggers who had accused him.

TREND had reported that E-money pledged to support Junior Pope’s family after the actor’s demise.

Meanwhile, popular Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has revealed the reason behind his absence at the burial of his late colleague, Junior Pope.

Edochie has attributed the development to a series of backstabbing and betrayal he received from the late movie producer.

Yul took to his social media page on Tuesday, recounting his lack of involvement in the burial ceremony of the late actor, saying that he betrayed him multiple times.

He noted that he needed to explain himself because people were curious about his absence at the burial despite admitting that the Pope was like a brother to him.

Although he did not provide details about what had transpired between them, he promised to provide more information about how he had betrayed him.

He wrote, “I didn’t want to say anything till after his burial. I know many asked why I wasn’t there. Why I haven’t said anything about it since?

“I took him like a brother and good friend. I was there for him when he needed me. But he stabbed me in the back, repeatedly. That’s life!

Edochie, however, told his followers to be wary of what they wished for people because their wishes could come back to hunt them.

“I’ll drop the full details soon so others can learn from it. Be careful what you wish people, it could come to you,” he added.
