The Kaduna State government assured that it would provide quality education for almajiri children, with around 25,000 school pupils already benefiting from a N4 billion school feeding program across the state’s 23 local councils.
The Special Assistant to Governor Uba Sani on the school feeding program, Dr. Fauziya Buhari-Ado, highlighted the program’s positive impact on school enrollment and the local economy, Beli Media reports.
She interacted with pupils during the Eid el-Kabir celebration, where a sacrificial ram was slaughtered, and free gifts were distributed to the pupils.
Both the school officials and the village head for expressed appreciation over the initiative.
