In Niger State youths have taken to the streets to protest the ongoing cost of living crisis in Nigeria.

Despite efforts by both Federal and State governments to halt the protests, citing fears that hoodlums and enemies of democracy might hijack the movement, the demonstrations proceeded.

Protesters were seen chanting anti-government slogans and holding placards with messages such as “Enough is Enough,” “Stop Anti-Masses Policies,” “We Are Not Slaves In Our Country,” “Hardship Is Unbearable,” and “Fuel Subsidy Must Be Restored.”
