Rev. Fola Achudume, the wife of Apostle Lawrence Achudume, General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has passed away. She died early Saturday morning following a brief illness at the age of 55.
The sad news was announced by Pastor Adeoye Adeyanju, the Assistant General Overseer of the church, during the Sunday service in Abeokuta. He stated, “In the early hours of yesterday, our mother, Rev. Fola Achudume, went to be with the Lord. She would have turned 56 on September 6.”
Mr. Tunde Oladunjoye, a close family friend and Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Ogun State, also confirmed her passing.
He expressed his sorrow, calling it the worst news of the year.
“Unfortunately, people I contacted have confirmed this terrible news.
“I am very close to the family and am on my way to their house to offer my condolences. It is so hard to believe and deeply saddening.
“My consolation is that she has gone to join the saints,” he said.
