Chris Terfa, a humanitarian worker and the Executive Director of Concerned Youth Development Initiative, CYDI, has been tragically killed by unidentified gunmen near the Logo 1 area of Makurdi metropolis, Benue State.
The incident occurred on Friday evening when the assailants reportedly tracked Terfa to his office in the Logo 1 vicinity. Upon arrival, the gunmen allegedly shot the security guard on duty before forcefully entering the premises.
According to witnesses, the attackers covered Terfa’s mouth with a pillow before fatally shooting him. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Terfa was declared dead on arrival. His body has since been deposited at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, BSUTH, morgue in Makurdi.
As of now, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Catherine Anene, has not confirmed the incident, as her phone remains unreachable
