Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has approved the payment of gratuities to pensioners who retired in 2010 and are on the payroll of the Local Government Staff Pension Board, LGSPB,.
According to a statement released on Wednesday in Benin by Mary Arewa, the acting secretary of the board, the pensioners are invited to a screening exercise scheduled to take place from August 26 to August 30, starting at 8 a.m. daily.
She said the screening exercise would hold daily in the Local Government Staff Pension Board, Pension House, Kings Square, Benin City.
Arewa said the pensioners were expected to present their letter of retirement, pensioner biometrics, pension identity card and pay advice during the exercise.
