Nigerian actress Bukola Ikuomola ventures into sex toy industry

Popular Nigerian actress, Bukola Ikuomola, is well known for taking on challenging roles in the film industry, but she is now carving out a path in a less conventional field—sex toy entrepreneurship.

In an exclusive interview with Saturday Sun, Ikuomola discussed her journey into the business, addressing the societal taboos and misconceptions surrounding her work, as well as her ambitions for the future.

“The sex toy industry is still somewhat a taboo in many parts of Nigeria. But I’ve noticed a shift in attitudes. People are becoming more open-minded, and they’re realizing that sex is a natural part of life. It’s okay to explore and enjoy it,” Ikuomola shared candidly, reflecting on the evolving mindset of Nigerians.

As one of the pioneering figures in this niche market, Ikuomola has taken a proactive approach in educating her clients about the importance of sexual wellness.

She explained, “I want people to understand that sex is not something to be ashamed of. It’s a vital part of our overall health and well-being. Sex toys can help people enhance their sexual experiences and improve their relationships.”

Her goal is not only to provide products but also to foster a more informed and open dialogue about sexuality.

Despite the societal stigma often associated with the sex toy industry, Ikuomola has managed to keep her personal life unaffected by her professional choices.

“I’ve never lost a relationship because of the nature of my business. Those who associate with me are open-minded and understand the difference between business and personal relationships. They are not judgmental and appreciate my true character,” she noted, emphasizing the importance of surrounding herself with like-minded individuals.

Looking ahead, the star of ‘Troubled Water’ has her sights set on expanding her acting career.

The thespian expressed her desire to break into the international scene, with ambitions of starring in a Netflix series and exploring a variety of genres, including comedy-drama and psychological thrillers.

“I want to showcase my versatility as an actress. I’m always looking for challenging roles that will push me to my limits,” she revealed, highlighting her commitment to growth and artistic excellence.

Ikuomola’s journey from Nollywood actress to sex toy entrepreneur is a testament to her fearless approach to life, both on and off the screen.

As she continues to challenge societal norms and pursue her dreams, it’s clear that she is a force to be reckoned with in any industry she chooses to venture into.
