A report has alleged that an aide in the Anambra Government House has been relieved of his duties following a leaked video of Governor Charles Soludo dancing to the ‘Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo’ song alongside some personalities.
A source who spoke to The Whistler claimed that the video was secretly shot when there was an order for the proceedings at the venue to be off-record.
The source said that Soludo had specifically warned that the moment be off-the-record before he began dancing,
The informant added that majority in attendance complied to the instruction but for a staff that secretly recorded and leaked the video.
“It was a surprise to the governor that the video leaked.
“He had asked everyone to put their cameras away and keep the moment private. We’re still investigating how the video got out,” the source said.
The video, which went viral, showed Governor Soludo dancing to the tune with his officials and guests during the state’s 33rd anniversary celebration.
The leaker of the video was sacked after being suspected to be a mole working for the opposition.
A source who attended the event was quoted as saying that, “The governor’s action was not meant for public consumption. It was a private moment meant to bring levity and joy to the occasion.
“We’re disappointed it was leaked and are taking steps to hold those responsible accountable.”
