Ondo 2024: Farmers laud Aiyedatiwa for rejuvenating abandoned farm settlements

Farmers in Ondo State’s government reserves area have praised Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his administration’s engagement with them. The farmers expressed gratitude for the recent government support directed towards abandoned farm settlements.

In a joint statement released on Sunday by leaders Alh. Abdukabir Adinoyi and Mr. Akingbade Jayeola Francis, the farmers acknowledged the Governor’s prioritization of agriculture as a key occupation in the state.

The farmers affirmed their strong support for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s upcoming gubernatorial campaign and pledged to rally their members across all eighteen local government areas to vote for the All Progressives Congress in the November 16th election.

The group also lauded the Governor’s decision to appoint Global Olabod Resources Limited to oversee agricultural affairs in the reserves, noting that the company’s familiarity with farming activities is a positive development.

“Jugbere Farm Settlement is a case study of many of the abandoned reserves that the new government consultant is engaging with the farmers, giving them hope of an inclusive government,” the group added.

The group urged all citizens and residents of Ondo State to mobilise and vote for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in the upcoming state election.LP
