The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the results for the 2024 SSCE internal examinations.
NECO’s Registrar and Chief Executive, Professor Dantani Wushishi, made the announcement on Thursday during a press briefing at the council’s headquarters in Minna, Niger State.
Wushishi also revealed that NECO had blacklisted 21 supervisors from 12 states and de-recognized a school in Ekiti State for involvement in mass cheating across two core subjects and one science subject.
The supervisors faced penalties for negligence, aiding malpractice, extortion, absconding, and other offenses. Additionally, Wushishi disclosed that 40 schools in 17 states were implicated in widespread cheating and will face discussions with NECO, followed by appropriate sanctions.
