BREAKING: No demolition will take place on Ibadan Circular road corridor – Makinde

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has reassured residents impacted by the Ibadan Circular Road corridor that no additional demolitions of houses or properties will occur along the route.

He emphasised that all existing structures within the 150-meter corridor will be included in the government’s plans.

However, he cautioned that no new developments, including foundations or buildings, should take place on any land within the corridor.

Makinde provided this assurance on Monday while addressing thousands of affected residents who gathered in protest at the Oyo State Government Secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan.

The protesters carried placards, and banners and sang appeal songs to plead for the stoppage of the 500-meter corridor on the Ibadan Circular Road by the government.
