Mahama will end mediocrity – NDC youth activist

A young activist of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Albert Atta Opoku Vohdi, has descended heavily on the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), describing it as a failure.

According to Mr Vohdi, the President Akufo-Addo and Dr Bawumia-led administration has left Ghanaians with nothing but an improper Free Senior High School (FSHS).

“Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr Bawumia claimed that free senior high school (FSHS) was their policy and left Ghanaians with poverty and huge taxation which has torn our pockets and brought untold hardships upon Ghanaians for nearly eight years”, he fumed.

He said the NPP had failed to live up to its promises made to Ghanaians in 2016 and 2020 that made reasonable Ghanaians to cast their votes massively for them and therefore asked the voting populace to teach them some lessons in the upcoming December 7, 2024, general elections.

The NDC youth activist told the media in an interview that Ghana needs to move forward with a sound mind and growth in businesses and that can only be attained under His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman and the NDC government through the developmental projects to be introduced by John Dramani Mahama in his first four years.

He pointed out that the NDC presidential candidate is the only qualified person to lead Ghana to succeed in the fight against poverty, corruption and mediocrity, hence the need for Ghanaians to bring the NDC back to power.

Mr Vohdi stated that the fight against mediocrity was crucial and that it would take only committed, selfless, humble, and dedicated persons with foresight like John and Jane to achieve that.

“Ghanaians should repose confidence in God-fearing John Dramani Mahama and the learned Professor Mrs Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman and NDC parliamentary candidates come December 7, 2024.

“They must cast their votes wisely and massively for John Dramani Mahama.

An NDC government will take a short time to take Ghana to where she belongs,” he stressed.

He said one of the moves Dr Bawumia made was taxation on our mobile wallets.

Such a person wants to become president? he asked.

He said if Ghanaians mistakenly cast their vote for Dr Bawumia come December 7, 2024, he will surely put taxes on our blood circulation and walking before his swearing-in just to put blame on his boss, Nana Akufo-Addo.

The NDC activist warned the electorate to avoid voting for the NPP’s presidential candidate, Dr Bawumia, since “a vote for him will spell Ghana’s doom”.

“Ghanaians should not make any further mistake by returning the NPP to power; they have totally failed and will continue to fail,” he said.

Touching on John Dramani Mahama’s four years achievements when he was the President, Mr Vohdi reiterated that the NDC established the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GetFund), which has served as a means of getting money to run education in the country.

“The Mahama administration also introduced E-Block buildings for community schools,” he added.

He said the NDC government, of which His Excellency John Dramani Mahama was part, worked to introduce the Value Added Tax with the lowest tax, which in turn has helped governments, especially the Nana Addo and Dr Bawumia led-administration, to accrue funds to finance many of the economic projects.

Based on his achievements, Mr Vohdi, said His Excellency John Dramani Mahama is the best person to lead Ghana in the fight against poverty.

“He has the track record, he has done it before and I believe he can do it again when given the mandate for a second term,” he said.
