Makinde to install three new monarchs 

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State is set to install three new monarchs in the state and present them with their staff of office, following his approval.

This announcement was made in a release signed by the Commissioner for Information, Dotun Oyelade, and distributed to newsmen on Wednesday.

According to the release, the names of the traditional rulers are as follows:

His Royal Majesty, Oba Sakiru Oyewole Akanni Oyelere, the Onifiditi of Fiditi, who will be presented with the staff of office and coronated on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

His Royal Majesty, Oba Cornelius Abiola Taiwo Oladokun, the Alaawe of Awe, who will be coronated and presented with the staff of office on Friday, July 5, 2024.

His Royal Majesty, Oba Titiloye Oyekanmi Sunday, the Elempe of Tapa, who will be coronated and presented with the staff of office on Monday, July 8, 2024.

It is worth noting that since the inception of the Seyi Makinde administration five years ago, more than thirty Obas and Baales have been installed and coronated across the state.
