Kebbi State has lost another pilgrim, Maryamu Mayalo from Maiyama Local Government Area, who passed away in Mecca after a prolonged illness.
The Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Faruk Inabo, confirmed her death in a statement released through the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ahmed Idris, on Sunday. Mayalo died at King Abdulazeez Hospital in Mecca and will be buried at Haram Mosque after Asr prayer according to Islamic rites.
Governor Nasir Idris expressed his condolences, praying for Allah to grant her Aljanna Firdausi and to provide her family with the strength to endure this loss.
The governor also extended his condolences to the Pilgrims Welfare Agency and the people of Koko Besse Local Government Area, mourning the recent death of Alhaji Malami Besse, a Hajj guide, who passed away after returning from Saudi Arabia. He prayed for Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and to comfort their families.
Three weeks prior, the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board announced the death of another pilgrim, Abubakar Abdullahi from Gulma in Argungu Local Government Area, in Makkah. The Executive Chairman of the board, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, confirmed that Abdullahi died after a brief illness.
