Cholera: Three die in Benue 

Cholera has claimed three lives in Benue State as the outbreak continues to escalate, with 13 confirmed cases reported over the past two weeks.

Dr. Henry Ijabo, Benue State Epidemiologist, disclosed this in Makurdi on Tuesday, highlighting that officials are closely monitoring 10 of the cases through the epidemiological unit.

Dr. Ijabo urged residents to adopt preventive measures such as avoiding open defecation, stressing that there is currently no vaccine available for cholera.

He noted that the disease is most prevalent in areas including Agatu, Ado, and Otukpo Local Government Areas of the state.
