BSUAA Abuja branch gets new executives [FULL LIST]

Benue State University Alumni Association (BSUAA) Abuja Branch has inaugurated its newly elected officials.

The inauguration ceremony was held at Sergeant Mess, Mambilla Barracks, Abuja on Tuesday after a successful free and fair elections.

In his inaugural speech on behalf of the elected EXCOs, the branch Chairman, Mr. Terfa Akpoyibo thanked the electoral committee members, the outgoing EXCOs and members of the Association for the successful and peaceful conduct of the elections and inauguration of the new EXCOs.

The speech reads in full: “Today, we gather to shape the future of our great association, the Benue State University alumni association. As your newly elected Chairman, I envision a future where our branch is a beacon of excellence, a vibrant hub of alumni activities, and a pace-setter for all other branches to follow.

“We will build a branch that is inclusive, innovative, and inspiring. A branch that harnesses the collective potential of its members to drive meaningful change and impact in our community.

“My team and I will create a vibrant culture of engagement, where every member feels valued, heard, and empowered to contribute. We will foster a spirit of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning, where we support each other’s aspirations and celebrate each other’s successes within the branch.

“By awakening vibrant activities at the chapter levels and ensuring that every member is engaged and involved in our programs and initiatives, we will make our branch the hub of alumni activities in the city, a hub that attracts and engages members from all walks of life. We will host events, programs, and initiatives that showcase our talents, skills, and experiences, and provide opportunities for networking, mentorship, and community service.

“We will set a pace for all other branches to follow, a pace that is marked by excellence, innovation, and impact. We will be the catalyst for growth, the spark that ignites the flame of progress, and the inspiration that motivates others to strive for greatness.

“I want to acknowledge and thank our outgoing chairman-Chief, Barr. Paul Edeh, for his leadership and dedication to our association. I look forward to working closely with him to tap into his wealth of experience and wisdom.

“To my fellow members, I urge you to look beyond our individual differences and focus on the bigger picture. Let us put aside all acrimonious tendencies and work together to build a viable and strong branch of our association.

“In the days ahead, I will release a comprehensive work plan that outlines our vision, mission, and objectives. I have a powerful administrative Think-Tank assembled as a team of dedicated and skilled Exco members, (mention all their names Sir), and I trust that God will use their expertise to build our branch.

“While I thank you all for this opportunity bestowed on us to serve you, I crave your indulgence to give us the support to work together in building a branch that we can all be proud of, a branch that makes a difference in the lives of its members and the community of our beloved Alma mater, the Benue State University Makurdi.”
