An industrialist, Engineer Henry Famutimi, has raised concern on the economic and infrastructural situation of Ondo State, saying that the state is deteriorating and needed to be salvaged for it to be reckoned with in the comity of states in Nigeria.
Famutimi, in a statement in Akure, raised the concerns, stating that the state of governance in Sunshine State , especially the current situation of people of the state, had subjected residents of the state to poverty.
He said that the current administration in the state was bereft of governance knowledge and incompetence thereby standing as the key enemy to development.
Famutimi asserted that the people of the state deserved a government that would prioritize their well-being and create opportunities for development and growth.
According to Famutimi, the solution out of quagmire in the state lies in electing a transformational leader who understands the intricacies of governance and can lead the state to new heights.
He pointed to Hon. Gbenga Edema and Dr. Rotimi Adeyemi, the governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party( NNPP) in the November election and his deputy candidate as personalities who possessed the qualities of transformational leadership, emphasizing their commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
“Hon. Edema and Dr Adeyemi, running under the NNPP, have pledged to focus on important issues such as free education, innovation, modernized agriculture, free healthcare, free education, and improved science and technology.
“I urge the people of Ondo State to support and vote for Edema and Adeyemi to ensure a better future for the state.
“The residents of Ondo State should unite behind Hon. Gbenga Edema and the NNPP because I believe their leadership will bring about positive change and deliver on the promises of democracy,” he said.
