BREAKING: University workers set to resume suspended strike over unpaid salaries

There are growing concerns that the nation’s university system could come to a standstill as members of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) threaten to resume their suspended strike.

The move follows the Federal Government’s failure to pay four months’ worth of withheld salaries.

Prince Peters Adeyemi, General Secretary of NASU, revealed the possibility of the strike resumption during the ongoing National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja.

While he refrained from announcing a specific start date, it is anticipated that the NEC will make a final decision during the course of their discussions.

Details later.
